Still getting used to the Florida summer, even though this is my second one. The heat, the humidity, all of it. But after decades of living in a cold and rainy climate, I just love being outdoors, even when it’s this extreme. My wife and I also started playing Play 9, a card game that’s become a fun little ritual.

Reading

Two books on the go right now:

What I Ate in One Year (and Related Thoughts) by Stanley Tucci. It’s essentially a diary, with short notes about his days and, of course, what he ate. Light, fun reading. I love his writing style, and my mouth waters more often than I’d like to admit.

The Man Who Died Twice by Richard Osman. Book two in the Thursday Murder Club series. I watched the Netflix adaptation and had to keep going. Fun, witty, and just a good old-fashioned murder mystery.

Learning

I picked up an Insta360 Luna Ultra vlogging camera and I’m mostly using it to capture the things I see and experience around Florida. Still learning what it can do.

Location

Home, on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Appreciating the longer days and warm evenings. The afternoon thunderstorms that rolled through most of the summer have eased off. That’s fine by me.
